Thomas,

I just replaced my 5 year old Dell with another Dell which is a small footprint system (Optiplex 620). I really like the space savings but it only has 2 low profile PCI card of which one has a video card.  I sent back my XMod and am trying the built in sound device. The sound is not that bad but the AOMRecord does not pick up any variation in the sound. It is only a single level of "blue" across with fixed interval spikes.

I suspect this is related to the on board integrated sound device.

I wanted to let you know this for interest sake. I just bought a Creative Audigy 2 NX USB external sound card form ebay so hopefully this will correct the problem.

Sal,

Are you using Windows Vista? If not AOMrecord normally does not hava any problems to record from an internal sound card. What brnad of card does it say in the device list?

If that continues to happen I'd like to have a look onto your computer via remote assistance sometimes.

It is WIndows XP.  The sound device is SoundMAX Digital Audio. It is the integrated sound device.

Can I send an attachement with a screenshot?

I don't think that I can do something with it. Did you install the latest drivers?

I have the latest drivers, but i think it has something to do with the card. That is why I have been going after an external card. I will wait for the new external Creative card I ordered.

By the way I upgraded the version of AOMRecord today and it seems like it is not responding. It opens okay, but when I launch Radio@AOL, the AOMRecord program becomes non-repsonsive.
It is really tying up quite a bit of CPU useage (>40%).

I figured out the problem with the recording aspect. There is a "stero mix" within the adbanved parameters for the recording which I selected and the sound is now being picked up.

Unfortunately there is a conflict with Radio@AOL and the AOMRecord program will not respond while Radio@AOL is running.

Darn machines!
