ok, the new update went thru so i'm seeing tracks and titles for live365. However, i have not been able to record a single song since the weekend. All i get are the buffer errors notes in my log, a high as 1100 recoding buffers. I tried doubling the number in your aomrecord file (puts it at 600 i think) and clicked off on encoding while recording. I still get the error string in the log just a few minutes after starting the service up. should i be putting the number even higher in the file ??  (it says do not change right next to it !)now i see a new line in the log that reads TEMP. What is that one ? I do have a large file that draws a lot of cpu activity but it CANNOT be turned off, as its my bookselling software and must be left on 24 hours a day. (or i will get double book sales)  please help on the buffer errors ! -Dave Osborn.

David,

There is generally no need to change the buffers settings. It is very rare that AOMrecord says there are not enough buffers available. This is only the case if AOMrecord cannot get enough CPU time for recording which as appr. 10 to 20% on a 1 GHz machine.

To me it looks like you have changed something on your computer. I have the impression this behaviour differs from that a while ago.

The current update cannot have anything to do with this. Please have a look what you changed and let me know. Additionally it might be interesting to have some more data about your computer.

I don't exactly know which entry for TEMP you mean. It must have something to do with AOMrecord's temporary files.

Hi Thomas.  the 'temp' line was the beginning of a recording !!   I had set it to 'do not encode while recording' so the temp line was unfamiliar to me (i was used to seeing WAV when i got a recording. ) now i'm getting media data and things are recording. A few questions:

in order to get media info lines for my tracks i Do or do NOT have to go thru aomplayer ?   Going thru that got me the media listings but i like using my little radio365 to listen to because it shows a progress bar so i know when a song is almost over and the info box you can open hold the info for the last 8 or so songs.

i tried to go to pandora using aomplayer but it asked for a sign=in and i'm not sure what sign-in it wants (i am a member of pandora)

Hello David,

As far as it concerns to Radio365 I don't know whether it will work outside AOMplayer. But I guess it should. Just try and let us know.

If you want to use Pandora with AOMrecord you got to use AOMplayer, but if you are located in the US you must disable the proxy in AOMplayer on the settings page that can be opened by clicking on the top stripe on AOMplayer's window.

Please inform me what you've done.
