Hi,

I am usually recording from radio@AOL or Pandora at the moment. I have no problems at all, the software works very well as compared to others I have tried.

I have a few queries so that I can get the best from AOMrecord...maybe then I'll be able to get on with the rest of my life and not be listening to music all day :)

Anyway, first query is about normalization.

On one of the Options tabs is given a choice for normalization after recording.

My query is how the normalization is done, is it a 'peak' normalization or a more sophisticated method?

Also there is a warning about using the option on slower machines. I will be recording overnight and so any output folder will sometimes hold a lot of files. What happens when my computer can't keep up the normalization process because the number of files in a folder is too large for it to handle between recording?

peace,
djprang

Hi djprang,

It is a bit more sophisticated. Search for ssrc.exe if you want to learn more about it.

AOMrecord will stop recording and issue an error message if its disk space becomes low.

Regards

Thomas

BTW, Please recommend AOMrecord to others if you are satisfied. Thank you!

thanks for the reply Thomas, I understand the normalization process now and yes, I'll certainly suggest AOMrecord to any of my friends that might be into this sort of software.
