Thomas,

You may already know about this, but there is Pandora type of web site. Check it out.

www.jango.com

Hi Sal,

Have you got the latest update?

I upgraded and saw the support for jango.com. It seems to collect the information correctly and I am trying it out as I type this note.

Any recommendations for the gain? I usually use the automatic gain button and then drop it down a little. I have had some problems with the non-AOL sites having different levels and there is static in some of the recordings.

For example, in this jango site, there was one song that I had set very well; the histogram was nominal. Then the next song was nearly all in the red in the reording level with the histogram a solid blue.

Any thoughts?

Sal,

Especially with Jango I'd use the normalization feature to compensate their uneven leveling.

Thomas,

I have the "Normalize music files after recording" set to be done. Is this the compensation?

I am just looking at the histogram and the possible clipping that can occur. Which parameters should I use for a song to be recorded. I have seen the whole field "solid" blue.

Sal,

That's the correct setting. But the level may not go into the read area.

If it's totally blue you must pull the recording level down. Try the automatic adjustment and if that doesn't work use the Windows mixer to adjust it. Afterwards save these seetings in AOMrecord.
